Beautiful Weekend in Baltimore

Beautiful Weekend in Baltimore

Mid-70's weather in the fall seasons means you have to take advantage of the beautiful day! And what better way to celebrate than with yummy food, good company and scenic views?!

Stopped at one of my favorite restaurants in Baltimore: Woodberry Kitchen, no matter what time of day you go, the decor and friendly service puts a smile on your face. The inside has a very rustic feel, especially with the mason jars and wooden tables. And the outdoor seating is perfect day/night. At night, they have a fire pit area with Christmas lights and all! I've been here for dinner before, and was excited to try the Saturday brunch (make sure to make a reservation). My friends and I wanted to try everything on the menu, so we decided to order a bunch of different dishes and share.

We got the cast iron pancake (not like your traditional light and fluffy pancakes, it looked and tasted like a cake- loved the syrup and nectarines on top though), french toast (came with peanut butter and jelly and legit tasted like that), omelet (veggies and pieces of ham, came with potatoes -pretty tasty!) and of course, a side of bacon (YUM)! Overall a good experience, but a bit overpriced for what you get.

Major food coma from all the carbs, so we ended our day with a stroll along the Inner Harbor.

Brought out my Autumn outfit. Top: Zara, Skirt: H&M, Flats: Steve Madden and Clutch: Cuyana

How did you spend your day off?

Backstage at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim with Suboo

Backstage with Australian Swimwear Brand: Suboo

Let's be real... the real action always happens behind the scene. It's always incredible to see the calm models who rush on in right after finishing one show, and the talented make-up artists, manicurists and hair stylists easily transform the models from beautiful to runway glamorous in less than five minutes. To this, I applaud! Mad kudos!!! *clap emoji insert here*

Can I just say how honored I was to meet the talented and stunning creative mind behind the collection of Suboo, Sue Di Chio?! Not only did she seem calm and reserved before the show, and if she was hiding it, she is an amazing actress, she is so sweet and down to earth. She genuinely took the time out of her busy schedule to not only pose for a picture, but to talk and answer questions. And of course, her and her husband showed numerous pictures of their adorable and sweet newborn, Awesome (best name ever)! Wish my parents named me that too!
Couldn't have been more excited to see the show after witnessing the backstage frenzy. The coolest part about the venue? You had to walk on sand to get to your seat. If that doesn't get you in the "beachy" mood, I don't know what else could!

Below are some of my favorite pieces from the collection. There was a lot of bold prints and colors and shoulder and neck accents. Can I just say if you didn't think a one piece could ever be sexy, think again! (Btw, how chic are the PANDORA bangles?! Accessories simply complete any look!)

My absolute FAVORITE piece from the collection is below. Love the black accent on the bandeau top, the floral print and the black belt to accent the bottom. *insert heart eyes emoji here*

The high waisted bottoms and shoulder action going on is AMAZING! Who knew you could make swimwear so fashionable!?

And what better way to end a show than with a FIERCE model entourage!

Amazing show, Suboo team! In love with the swim and resort collection. Best part about the brand? That's it's affordable luxury! You don't have to spend thousands on one top/bottom piece to look good on the beach/at the pool. Can't wait till the collection launches so I can splurge. This means I need a location for my next vacation! Any recommendations? Comment below. Please and thank you!

Happy 10 Years, Miami Swim Week!

Happy 10 Years, Miami Swim Week!

Kicked-off Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim with a party to celebrate the 10th anniversary of fashion week swim. I am still in awe from this night. From the sweet rides designed by each designer, runway show with models walking barefoot in the pool and the energy of Miami's fashion elites- I couldn't have started off my first Miami fashion week any other way.

Below are pictures featuring my favorite looks of the night. Loved Mara Hoffman's sweet ride the best. What can I say? I'm a sucker for BOLD prints and bright colors.

Sported an asos romper and nine west shoes. More recaps to come.

pink hair DON'T care

Another fashion week, another hair color

“I don't believe in fashion. I believe in costume. Life is too short to be same person every day.”  ― Stephanie Perkins

Fashion week is pretty much the only excuse I have for frantically jumping around from mall to mall, store to store, to grab the latest clothes, accessories and shoes, and mixing pieces with my existing collection. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE getting the opportunity to see designer's collections on the runway, but what excites me more is seeing the infamous street style of the attendees, and having the opportunity to dress up in a different style every day. It's basically a time for everyone to show off their creativity and true fashion sense because let's be real, no one wears 6 inch. heels, and rocks neon lipstick to work/school on the daily- and if you do, kudos!

Clothes, accessories, shoes and beauty products are important, but so are hair and nails- only chance I allow myself to get some much needed pampering. Randomly decided to go PINK this time, and so far, I'm LOVING it. Who knew pinks had more fun?! Thanks to the AMAZING Be Scene team for always taking my odd hair requests and making me look fab. <3 Linh Phan is such a talented hair stylist. He will literally take any request you have and he even gives me the confidence to try something different and BOLD each time I visit. And the chill environment with pumping music, friendly staff and other sociable customers is always a perk! Next time you're in Maryland, definitely pay him a visit (make sure to make an appointment at least a month ahead of time, he's kind of a BIG deal).

Without further adieu, here's my new hurrrrrr and nails:

Happy fashion week! Follow me on Instagram and Twitter for live updates throughout Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami, Florida.

Toronto Fashion Week Recap

Toronto Fashion Week- Fall/Winter 2014 (THROWBACK THURSDAY)

Last week, I had the opportunity to attend World MasterCard Fashion Week in Toronto, and it was AMAZING! It was my first fashion week experience and it was everything I expected and more! LOVED seeing Toronto's fashion elites all gathered in one place. Everyone had their own style and showcased their own trends rather than rocking the same old, same old. It was cool to finally see things behind-the-scenes too! Yes, I can confirm that there are stret style photographers EVERYWHERE and getting snapped while you're walking is both an honor and a tad bit awkward. Not going to lie, I'm never sure if I should smile or stop and pose. BUT I must say, getting snapped means your outfit is on point so I can not complain!

Although planning on outfits can be stressful, dressing-up is always fun. Clothes can really change the way a person acts and feels- and it definitely made me feel more confident! I love how you can instantly be a different person by rocking a different style/trend! So why not mix-up your clothes and accessories tomorrow and have a little fun?!

MargaRRRRita Style

MargaRRRRita Style
My style is pretty simple with a bit of a twist. I tend to gravitate to black, gray and white, but will always make sure to add a touch of color or edge with BOLD accessories or shoes. Spikes, studs and animal prints are a MUST!

Beyond excited to finally start my blogging journey. Please follow along as a I slowly introduce you to my world.
