Weekend style.

I typically live in shorts in the summertime because walking around the city during the hottest time of the year is a “tanning” opportunity I refuse to miss out on (if you’re pale like me, you’ll understand). The east coast weather has consistently stayed warm (thank goodness), but I like to prepare for the cooler temperatures indoors and no better way to do so than with a light jacket.

I LOVE this blue bomber from Asos- the super lightweight jacket has a baseball collar that instantly gives off a sporty chic look, especially when you roll up your sleeves. The silky blue colored fabric gives you the pop of color you deserve for summer! Finished off the look with comfy white tennis shoes, a choker necklace and a pair of hoops for some glam.

'90s throwback.

They say trends come and go so you shouldn't jump from one to the next, but I'm a firm believer that there are no rules in fashion- I'll forever be a '90s kid. I mean who doesn't still listen to throwback Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, Christina Aguilera, Madonna, Britney Spears, Destiny's Child, No Doubt, J Lo., TLC, Mariah Carey, Eminem and the list goes on. 

Of course, there are things I regret from the '90s like confidently wearing baby blue eye shadow like I was Cameron Diaz, rocking my fake sports team tanks and tees from Limited Too and of course, sporting my short short skorts... 

This time, I'm doing it right. Here's my sporty, but feminine take on the '90s look.

Crop top. ✔️

Denim jacket. ✔️

Choker. ✔️

Mesh. ✔️

Chucks. ✔️

Memorial day weekend getaway.

I'm FINALLY back friends. If you follow me on Snapchat, you'll know I've been traveling for work nonstop. So when my friends from high school asked me to take off of work for one day (four day weekend, anyone? :D) and join them at a beach house in Delaware, I jumped in on the opportunity. I'll have to admit, as a Marylander, the only time I have ever visited Delaware was in high school on a very very spontaneous trip with my bestie to drive to Sonic for a limeade, tots and a bacon cheeseburger (going on a mini road trip right after you get your license seems like the most rationale thing to do, am I right, or am I right?!). 

I must say, we totally lucked out in booking a home last minute and having a private beach in walking distance from our house- so peaceful and relaxing, just what I needed. How did you guys spend your Memorial Day weekend?
